The soldiers are the ones who need our prayers — not the man who single-handedly placed them all in danger. This is just plain weird.

US soldiers in Iraq asked to pray for Bush
They may be the ones facing danger on the battlefield, but US soldiers in Iraq are being asked to pray for President George W Bush.
Thousands of marines have been given a pamphlet called “A Christian’s Duty,” a mini prayer book which includes a tear-out section to be mailed to the White House pledging the soldier who sends it in has been praying for Bush.
“I have committed to pray for you, your family, your staff and our troops during this time of uncertainty and tumult. May God’s peace be your guide,” says the pledge, according to a journalist embedded with coalition forces.
The pamphlet, produced by a group called In Touch Ministries, offers a daily prayer to be made for the US president, a born-again Christian who likes to invoke his God in speeches.
Sunday’s is “Pray that the President and his advisers will seek God and his wisdom daily and not rely on their own understanding”.
Monday’s reads “Pray that the President and his advisers will be strong and courageous to do what is right regardless of critics”.

I have a son in Iraq who I pray for everday. I also pray for every soldier and civllian. One of my right wing relatives sent me an email requesting that I pray for Bush,she never mentioned praying for my son, she was more concerned with Bush. We are related she is related to my son who is out there in harms way and needs prayers. I have been shown more commpassion from strangers than from my own familly members. In times of distress you find out who your familly and friends are.
We have a duty to pray for our president. I think it is odd that you find the very same people who are against God’s will, who are against President Bush. I pray that those who do not accept the will of God will one day understand the errors of their way.

Although that does seem weird, they pray for each other. And it is nice of the ones fighting to pray for their president. We must pray for our president, but we must also pray for the ones in Iraq. And Bush probably prays for the U.S. troops in Iraq, and they pray for him. The ones who are praying for Bush are christians, don’t forget, the Bible says to pray for our enemies, and the ones is war may, or not be against Bush, but they pray for him…
I imagine one prayer goes:
God, we can plainly see, from the many disasters you have dumped upon him, that you hate George W. Bush. Yet let his death be swift and painless as I pull this trigger. Amen.
It is unfortunate that 223 years later one Man destroys the fundamental ideals of our Founding Fathers by using religon as propoganda to wage war. He is a high graded moron for doing so, and most of all for not understand the repercausions of his own actions. Looking back at the historic past of religon and war, one can clearly see that religious wars never stop and are futile in nature. How dare he, under God, pull us into the abyss of never ending war!
David Cross said it best….as the young soldier lay dying on the battlefield with a bullet in his gut, he remembers he has to prove to the Bush Administration that he has been praying for the President and his staff – May the POTUSA have the strength to finish his Lobster Salad…
