Daily Show On The Shrub’s Meet The Press Interview

This is from the February 9, 2004 program. (Commenting on the February 8, 2004 Meet the Press.)
The Shrub was on message, as usual. Jon created a drinking game: a shot of tequila every time the Shrub says “Terror,” “Danger,” or “Madman.”

I really enjoyed his bit on the press conference…

    hehe

If you haven’t seen Jon Stewart’s decimation of Dubya’s appearance on Meet the Press, it’s on Lisa Rein’s archive. It is hilarious….

    Snow Day!

Yes, it sometimes snows in Dallas (pic later), but we rarely get the heavy, wet, tree-bending kind of snow. Kind of pretty – at least we can drive on it. That said, there’s plenty of time to scour the net…

Thank you Lisa, Thank you Lisa!
I’m a regular watcher of the Daily Show but I missed this episode and my Tivo didn’t grab it for some reason.
The most accurate fake news ever. That itself is a sad statement but true.

    Bush on Meet The Press

For those of us not currently willing to pay for Cable, Lisa Rein has postedDaily Show On The Shrub’s Meet The Press Interview so that we may all enjoy laughing at our President. Good-naturedly, of course! This was pointed out to me in Boing Boing. On …

Well, I laughed my ass off…

This comes to you by way of BoingBoing and Lisa Rein. These clips are relatively large but if you have broadband, it is, how you say? Fucking hilarious! I got copies for those of you who are outs hte country…

I think Kerry babking an intern is more news worthy than boring ol’ george. The girl was only 20 years old. Kerry is 60 for goodness sake. He was banging a baby. Isn’t Michael Jackson in court for that? But I guess Creepy Kerry can always flee the country and hide in France, like Roman Polanski. So the rumors about Kerry using Botox are true after all. Though looking at the age difference he probably wasn’t using Botox to stiffen his forehead.

Disregarding any off-topic trolls (two annoyances for the price of one!), I always enjoy your Daily Show postings, Lisa. I just wish there was a place I could get _all_ the “coverage.” Did you see their segment mocking the media’s hard-on for complaining about Janet Jackson’s superbowl surprise? It was absolutely priceless.

I did that exact drinking game for the State of the Union address when it aired, but with beer instead of tequila. We were so drunk by the end.

    Meet the Prez

The Daily Show Feb 09, 2004 had a hillarious crack on Bush’s Meet the Press interview, which I haven’t seen in full yet. From what I’ve read, they should have just aired the interview on the comedy channel to begin with. Here’s some video (MOV)….

I love the Daly Show and I, too, feel that it is a little sad that we get our most accurate info from a “fake news show”….but I sure am thankful for it. Thanks for sharing.

There’s a great quicktime clip of The Daily Show’s commentary on Bush. The Daily Show is an American comedy news show on cable television, sort of like The Onion. (via boingboing.net and Lisa)….

Thank you for providing the Daily Show take on Russert’s attempt to communicate with the “President.” This isn’t just comic relief, it’s relief. As soon as you start thinking, “Am I the only one out here on the fatted plain dumfounded by the dumbfounded?” — along comes Stewart.
Of course, I substitued herbal essence for the tequila, but still I wonder: How did Russert keep a straight face? Or did he? I’d love to see the outtakes.

Hey great page! Where were you going to post that Meet the Press interview with Dubbya? haha He’s such an idiot, I missed it when it came on tv but I’ve seen clips here and there. I really really wanna see the whole thing. Put it up quick! hehe 😀
