So the Shrub Administration is now admitting openly to the American Public that it was lied to in order to gain public support for the war.
I just wanted all of these articles in one place so we can remind everyone of the truth when election day grows near and the Repubs start up with the revisionist history regarding its official position as to why the war was necessary.

Posted by: jack on June 3, 2003 01:27 PMStartling information, Jack. Let us remember, though, that Clinton was a consensus-builder, and there were enough people in his administration with sense to prevent the unthinkable. Now we have a despot who follows the line of extreme-right policy wonks and think tanks no matter what the American people think.
Posted by: M. Faulkner on June 5, 2003 12:33 PMClinton's consensus-building (and that's an awfully generous way to characterize his ineffectiveness) failed to resolve the crisis and only perpetuated the Iraqis' suffering. Bush liberated them and rid the world of one more threat. What a shame.
