Big Demonstration In Japan February 15

Feb 15 Peace Action In Tokyo

Now, citizens all over the country stand up against U.S. tyranical warmonger. On Jan. 18, over a million people cried "No to Attack on IRAQ" in more than 40 countries. In Japan, about 7,000 citizens of various fields and generations participated WORLD PEACE NOW Jan. 18 at Hibiya park in Tokyo. There were also same kind of joint actions in about 30 cities in Japan. TV and news paper reported anti war joint actions in Japan and world scale.

In spite of anti war actions spreading worldwide, U.S. attack on IRAQ is drawing to a crisis day by day. Therefore Stop the War Coalition in London called for world-wide day of demonstrations on 15 February against the prospect of war. We support this appeal and will hold acitons for peace to protest against U.S. war drive and its supporter; Koizumi government in Japan.

Just thought I'd post a reply to Vince's rants :)

-------------------------------------------------
Vince: Your description of the USA being war-mongers is comical!

KYOSUKE: I somewhat agree, but look at us... Were displaying a cocky attitude and we are scared at the same time. Something we americans are known for- If we fear anything, we hate it. If we hate anything, we fight it. How logical does this sound? To me this is not "American" but to others, it is- And don't ever forget, there is another world outside of america with a whole diffrent set of rules.

Vince: It became quite evident on September 11 when thousands of innocents were killed.

KYOSUKE: It wasnt evident at that time. It was a suspicion, my friend.

Vince: All the while, you had your demonstrations: you demonstrated that you are willing to let an evil dictator rule with an iron fist.

KYOSUKE: I think this was Japans way of saying- America, we know you have the power to start another war..DONT DO IT. Think before you act.
Keep in mind, these protest happened >here in America as well as europe and Africa.

VINCE: We haven't bought oil from Iraq for the last 10 years...

KYOSUKE: Good Point. So, why are we fighting Iraq? I sometimes wonder if we are upset because the people responsible for sept 11th died with everyone else and we couldent punish them ourselves.

VINCE: The real point is this: We showed a false religion and a dictatorship that we WILL reach out and touch them in a very significant way.

Kyosuke: Why is their religion false? Because they are not christians? Really, this whole thing about my god is real and your god is false is a pathetic display of the human condition. When will we all learn to accept and love people regardless of the god they worship? Am I the only one on the planet that understands this?

Vince: Our true allies and us were the only ones willing to free an oppressed people from bondage.

KYOSUKE: My friend, you should really think before you post angry messages on the internet. 1st of all, you started this post talking about how we went to war because of sept 11th. Now, your saying we went to war to free oppressed people- now..... we(America)could care less about the opressed people in Iraq. Believe me. We have WAY TOO MANY OPPRESSED PEOPLE HERE. WHY? Because we are "In our own bubble" and dont realize there are other parts of the world out there. And secondly, America initiated a war because we were afraid. Remember what i said about america and its actions in fear earlier, right?

Vince : Truly, the United States is the home of the brave and land of the free.

Kyosuke: he he - One can live in america free if you are rich or the majority. Which I am not either.

I love america with all my heart and as an american, I exercise my right to be honest.- OUR ACTIONS ARE NOT UP TO THE AMERICAN STANDARD... or is it? Or am I the one who is wrong?

Cheers,
Kyosuke
