Hey - I never thought I'd find a use for this bit of trivia (as if it weren't useful enough by itself!) - there is an example of prior art for this patent just off the North Cascades Highway in Washington State. The Rockport Country Store has had its "famous self-kicking machine" on display for years now, under a little roofed structure and everything. Large wheel with turning handle + assorted boots + appropriate position = fun!
